The certification process includes a written exam and a practical assessment. The practical portion is conducted directly in an authorized laboratory and must be supervised by a certified evaluator.

To take the exam, it is necessary to prove a minimum of 90,000 m² (or 1,000,000 square feet) of prior experience in geomembrane installation.

The necessary documentation (supervisor's manual, study guide, and materials list) is available in several languages, including English, Spanish, French, Indonesian, and Portuguese.
